Dampers
Dampers allow precise control of airflow within the duct, helping balance air distribution throughout the space. Installed inside the duct rather than attached to the vent, they provide flexibility in vent alignment while allowing airflow to be adjusted as needed.
Key Features:
- Controls airflow at the duct level
- Not attached to the vent for flexible placement
- Ideal for balancing airflow between rooms
Flush Trim Router Bit
This router bit is used to cut the existing flooring around the duct opening for the Hybrid Flush Mount Vent. This bit is set at 1/4” depth. Take 2-3 passes depending on your flooring thickness. Use with the Two Hole Template.
DIY Double Sided Sticky Tape
Double sided tape secures vent templates firmly in place during routing, preventing movement and ensuring accuracy. Designed for jobsite use, it holds strong while allowing clean removal after installation.
Key Features:
- Keeps templates securely positioned while routing
- Prevents shifting during installation
- Removes cleanly without damaging surfaces
DIY Router Bit
The DIY router bit is designed to create clean, controlled cuts when routing vent openings and vents. Paired with the proper bushing and template, it delivers smooth edges and precise depth control.
Key Features:
- Designed for clean, controlled routing
- Creates smooth edges with consistent depth
- Essential for professional flush installations
Yes! We can create vents in custom sizes. For custom orders, we typically need either the dimensions of the existing hole or duct, or the overall dimensions you’d like the vent to be.
Our standard turnaround time is typically up to 10 business days or less. For special orders, our design team first creates a drawing, which usually takes a couple of days. We’ll send the drawing for your approval, and once confirmed, production generally takes up to 10 business days or less.
Since our vents are designed for high airflow especially in great rooms many clients choose not to use dampers. However, if you have a room near the HVAC system or need to adjust airflow in smaller spaces, installing a damper in these areas can be helpful.
Our dampers sit inside the duct or vent opening, allowing the installer to square the vent to the floor and align it with other vents along a wall. This design provides flexibility and ensures proper placement regardless of how the ductwork was originally installed.
Our vents are intentionally oversized to ensure a proper flush fit with the flooring while fully covering the duct opening beneath. The slightly larger frame allows the vent to sit securely on the finished surface, creating a clean, seamless look while preventing gaps or exposed edges. This design also helps maintain proper airflow and provides added strength and stability once installed.
