An easy to assemble floor vent using the Hybrid support plate to create floor vents out of solid and engineered flooring.
Using a table saw and your flooring material, cut the slats to the length of the vent support plate and the width of the slats on the vent support plate (this will vary depending on your vent size).
Take the newly cut flooring slats and set your table saw to cut 3/16" off of the bottom of the material so the height of your material plus the support plate will match the exact height of your floor.
Using adhesive, adhere the slats you made from the flooring material to the support plate. The support plate is to be on the bottom, and the finished surface of the slats should be facing up.
Using our two hole template or a track saw, cut the floor around the duct to the size of the vent. Cut all the way down to the subfloor.
Once the adhesive is dried, drop your DIY Vent into the vent hole you created in Step 1.
